The Hara Center Grows
The Hara Center is expanding! They have signed a lease on the back apartment at 1039 Ash, effectively doubling their space. These photos show some of the rooms that need work. More community events, including a teen art program, are coming.

The Hara Center is a COMMUNITY CENTER? I thought it was a "New Age" development/actualization center, with paid yoga classes, drumming-to-a-different-drummer place and self-centering stuff. For about 5 years I have regretted that a much-needed Germantown Community Center didn't have dibs on the old Isaac Shelby School building. But if Hara is a true community center for Germantown youth, I will see whether there is anything I can do for them. I'd say it definitely needs "awareness marketing."
