Old Hickory: rising from the ashes!
The Courier Journal is reporting that the Old Hickory will be rebuilt and should be functional by the end of the year! Now that's going to be some opening night party!

39th Annual Dainty Contest, Monday, July 27
The 39th Annual Dainty Contest is upon us! Come on down to Hauck's Handy Store at 1000 Goss Avenue on Monday, July 27 to take in the action. For the tournament itself, you must be 45 years old to enter, as is tradition, but spectators of all ages are welcome. There will be refreshments available for purchase and live music after the game. Don't miss this unique Schnitzelburg institution!
Tournament starts at 6 pm. signups begin at 5:45.
